Many people that have been to Disney World will know for a fact that they have a ride in Animal Kingdom called Kilimanjaro Safari which is obviously supposed to be like a real African safari. Can you actually compare a theme park ride to the real thing or is it just there for the kids.

Well believe it or not I can actually tell you that the ride itself is very good and can be a very nice alternative for you if you cannot afford to get over to Africa. It of course features real animals such as lions and elephants that you would expect to see on a real safari. There are many negatvies to the ride itself. The person driving you around is very cheesy indeed and although they do give you a lot of really useful information on the animals you can often tell they have to repeat themselves many times during the course of the day.

It obviously doesn’t compare to the real thing but the thing is Disney are not trying to compare it to the real safari’s. All they are trying to do is give you a bit of a taster when it comes to Safari’s. All Disney are trying to do here is show you the real beauty of Africa, it is meant to inspire people to go and visit the real place.

So why don’t you actually go after a real Safari holiday by taking a Kenya Safari. Of course you could also go on one of those Botswana Holidays or even Zambia Holidays.

It really is up to you, if you don’t want to see the real Africa then just go to a theme park with a safari ride!
