Hotels In Spain How To Deal With Hotel Personnel When Inconveniences Arise
Spain is the 12th biggest economy in the globe and the 5th biggest among the countries in the European Union. It’s no surprise that a large number of the planet’s most prestigious businesses establish either branches or their headquarters in the country.
If you are on a business trip to Spain, you may have to stay in any one of the business hotels in Spain. Travelling, company issues, and other concerns can stress you out, and you would just like to check in your hotel, get some much-needed rest, and enjoy a pleasant stay. But you may come across mishaps during your stay that will make your experience less pleasant.
Here are some tips on how to raise an issue without having the staff fear or dislike you.
1. Is the concern worth your time and effort? As a business traveller, you may be just tired and stressed out. That concern may be quite of no consequence and not worth complaining about.
2. If there is indeed an issue but can wait, allow your corporate department to solve it. Remember that they are the staff who booked your stay, so they should exercise the responsibility to resolve it. If you are attending a convention, allow the convention manager to solve it.
3. If you determine that the concern should be handled right now, decide what you really want. A price cut? A nicer room? A free-of-charge meal? When the establishment accedes to your want, you will most likely feel compensated and the concern won’t escalate out of hand.
4. Do it right away. Immediately go to the front desk and tell the staff about the problem. Generally, front desk staff have the capacity to address the concern immediately. If not, request to see the supervisor or manager. And although you end up complaining to the general manager, the staff in the lower tier will be the entities who will implement the solution.
5. Keep your cool and keep your voice down. No one wants to try and help a maniacal, red-faced person. Remember that in the eyes of other patrons, the one who is screaming is the one who is wrong. Be nice, objective, and patient.
6. As soon as your problem is resolved, give thanks to everyone involved. Better yet, write the names and forward your praises to the hotel’s management.
Have a beautiful stay during your cheap holidays to Spain.
