Have you considered a Caribbean Safari for your next holidays
We have all heard of a safari in Africa, but have any of us heard of the Caribbean safaris? When ever somebody thinks of the Caribbean they always think of the beaches and the blue seas. Not many people actually consider what is on the islands, only what they are surrounded by.
Although you won’t be finding lions or many larger animals on one of these safaris there are many different and diverse animals living here. Across the islands there are a massive amount of bird species. Trinidad alone has more bird species than the whole of Canada. There are humming birds and parrots, frigate birds and pelicans flying about all over the place.
Now large animals are some what limited on the land but there is not short fall of large animals in the ocean. If you want you can also embark on the water safari, this means you can hop on a boat and parade around the oceans. You will be seeing Whales and dolphins, and even a diving is optional if you have the proper training. This kind of safari is slightly different to that of the ones you find in Africa, with this one you can sometimes get out of the jeep and walk around. But be careful in some of the larger islands you could come across some big alligators.
What is truly astonishing is the general knowledge that the guides have about some of these certain areas. There are some great stories that they tell about adventures they have had in the past. But you need to go on one of the Rain Forest safaris to find out about this. So if you have the decision on a Kenya safari or a Caribbean safari, you should think about what kind of holiday you would prefer, the adventure strung Africa Safari, or the more relaxed Caribbean Safari?
