Tenerife Beaches

Having arrived in Tenerife, an Island that is bathed in sunshine for a majority of the year and famous for its year round warm climate, most sun worshipers drop their baggage in their accommodation and head straight for the beaches to relax and make the most of the glorious ray of sunshine.

Its hard to come to Tenerife and not go home with glowing suntan to show for your visit and to that end Tenerife has created many excellent quality man made beaches most of which are centered around the key tourist resorts.

Many of the Tenerife beaches offer good access and have standards of cleanliness that you would come to expect from an European beach, as well as excellent facilities for their visitors including showers to wash off the fine black shingle or sand.

Other facilities include sun beds and shades for those who wish to laze the days away but for the more adventurous there many beaches offering the water sports now familiar on many beaches around the world.

Some visitors prefer to steer away from the busy Tenerife beaches and for these visitors there are a number of more natural and secluded beaches around the Island.

If you hire a car this will give you the opportunity to  explore and discover many of the smaller beaches and coves that have not been mentioned.
