Playa de las Americas Tenerife Map - Playa de Las Americas is probably one of the most well known and visited parts of Tenerife. Like many beaches on the island the beaches are man made and broken down into numerous smaller beaches separated by breakwaters designed to reduce erosion from the waves and of course to stop the sand banks being washed away. 

Playa de Las Americas is one of the busiest resorts on the island so should not be the place to consider if you prefer the more tranquil type of beach holiday
