Playa de Las Teresitas Beach

Playa de Las Teresitas is arguably the best beach on the Island, if not it is certainly the most popular.

Playa de Las Teresitas beach like most of the main beaches is man made and was enlarged around 1973 using approximately four million sacks of stunning yellow sand shipped in from the Sahara desert.

There are numerous canary palms and sea grapes planted in this wide beach which is nearly 1.5 km long and there is a man made breakwater to protect this magnificant beach from erosion due to wave action.

There are an abundance of facilities on the beach, along with a number of bars and restaurants where you can slip away to have a meal and get out of the midday sun.

If you wish to travel a little further away then pop along to the fishing precinct of San Andres which has many fish and seafood restaurants serving locally caught produce.
