Playa de Las Americas Beach

Playa de Las Americas is one of the most famous parts of Tenerife. The beaches are man made and broken down into a number of smaller beaches separated by finger like breakwaters designed to reduce wave erosion and to stop the sand banks being washed away.

Playa de Las Americas is one of the busiest resorts on Tenerife so is definitely not the place to be if you prefer the more tranquil type of beach holiday, but that said there are plenty of amenities here and for the watersport enthusiasts there is more than enough to keep you amused.

The beaches are all a stones throw away from each other so if you fancy a (slight ) change of scenery you can always try another one.
