Loro Parque Parrot Park

Loro Parque (Parrot Park)

It would be hard to compare the Loro Parque of today to its early beginnings back in 1972.

Originally starting with a collection of only Loro Parque 01 tenerife150 parrots, the parrot collection alone has now grown to around 3000 parrots.

In total the collection has a sample that is representative of over 300 of the world’s species of parrots many of which are under threat in their natural habitats.

Loro Parque which, for those of you that were unaware is Spanish for Parrot Park is situated on the outskirts of Puerto de la Cruz.

With many species of animals from around the world and displays to keep the old and young alike fascinated for many hours, if you are planning to visit Loro Parque make sure you allow a whole day for your visit as there is so much to see and do.
